Davies, meet 826 Valencia


A little preview before our class in a few weeks; this is Dave Eggers's explanation of the history of this wonderful organization. An insightful introduction that points out some of the ways that 826 connects to American Book Culture.

    What a great program! I can't wait to hear more about it. It reminds me a bit of my work with "JumpStart" which is a preschool literacy program.

    I think merely having an adult show a child that reading is "cool" really has an impact.
